In Year 1 we have started the term looking at stories about familiar settings. One book was The Tiger Who Came to Tea. The children thought up new alternative book titles and wrote invitations, inviting friends to tea.
In Science we have been studying a topic called Ourselves. They have made a collage body which they have labelled, and carried out fun investigations to test their five senses. The investigations included a popular lesson where they tested their sense of taste, tasting lemons, sugary sweets and crisps.
During our initial numeracy lessons the children have been demonstrating their counting and ordering skills, using Counting Clown.
